Terms & Conditions

Version 2026-07-14-b · Effective from 14 July 2026

1. About this service

These Terms govern your use of Matchup Engine, operated by Mitchell John Fuller, a sole trader trading as Matchup Engine (ABN 15 729 771 132) ("Matchup Engine", "we", "us" or "our").

Matchup Engine is an independent sports analytics product that provides model-based matchup analysis, probability rankings, market price comparisons, and generated cross-game combo outputs for NRL anytime try scorer markets.

Matchup Engine is not a bookmaker. We do not accept bets, place bets, or provide wagering services. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

2. Analytics content only

All picks, rankings, probabilities, matchup scores, value signals, generated combos, and market comparisons are model estimates produced for informational and entertainment purposes only. They are not financial advice, gambling advice, recommendations to wager, or a guarantee of any outcome.

Account access to this site unlocks analytics content only. No pick, rating, generated combo, or access plan guarantees any return, profit, winning bet, or successful outcome.

Matchup Engine rankings and analysis currently cover eligible positions, broadly: fullbacks, wingers, centres, halves, hookers, and second-rowers. Middle forwards and interchange players are not currently included in Matchup Engine rankings and analysis. The set of eligible positions may change over time.

3. Generated combos

The Combo Builder may generate multi-leg, cross-game combinations based on settings such as selected games, model profile, target odds, maximum legs, and search modifiers. These outputs are analytical combinations only. They are not instructions to bet, staking advice, or a statement that any bookmaker will offer, accept, or settle the same combination.

Same-game combinations are excluded by the product, and combo pricing is designed to use available same-bookmaker prices where possible. Bookmaker markets, prices, eligibility rules, limits, suspension status, and combination rules can change at any time. You should independently verify current markets and rules with the relevant bookmaker.

4. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use this site where odds or market pricing information is displayed, and to purchase any paid access. By using the site, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

5. Access and accounts

A user account is required to access full game boards, rankings, and other model output. Some content may be available without payment, including preview games, free rounds we designate from time to time, and any free access period we choose to run. Free access is offered at our discretion and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Access to paid content is tied to the account that purchased it. It is personal, non-transferable, and for your own non-commercial use. You may not share, resell, redistribute, or systematically extract content unlocked by a purchase.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and login credentials. You must not knowingly allow another person to use your account to access paid content or otherwise circumvent access restrictions. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Free, preview, and archived content may change over time. Access to content purchased through a Round Pass continues for the access period described in section 6.

Sections 6 and 7 relating to Round Pass purchases apply only when a Round Pass is displayed and offered for purchase. Nothing in these Terms requires Matchup Engine to offer paid access, and the presence of those sections does not mean Round Pass sales are currently enabled. Before any purchase, the checkout will identify the applicable round, price, currency, and access period.

6. Round Passes, purchases and billing

A Round Pass is a one-off, non-recurring purchase that unlocks the full published picks slate for one specified NRL round — including published game boards, rankings, and picks made available for that round. Access continues through the end of that round, including reviewing published picks and results after full-time, until the round is archived.

A Round Pass is not a subscription. There is no auto-renewal, no recurring charge, and no ongoing obligation. It grants access to the specified round only and does not include any other round, product, or future content.

A Round Pass unlocks analytics content only. What you are purchasing is access to model output and statistical analysis produced for informational and entertainment purposes. A Round Pass is not betting advice, financial advice, or a guarantee of future results. It does not guarantee that any player will score, that any pick or projection will be correct, or that any bet will win. You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase you authorise Stripe to charge your selected payment method for the displayed price. We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details. Stripe may email a receipt to the email address associated with your account. Prices are displayed and charged in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of any applicable GST. We may change prices for future purchases at any time; price changes do not affect a Round Pass you have already purchased.

Purchased access is linked to your account and cannot be transferred to another account or person. If you initiate a fraudulent chargeback, knowingly dispute a legitimate charge you authorised, or otherwise abuse the purchase system, we may revoke the associated access and may suspend your account. This does not limit your right to dispute a charge you genuinely did not authorise or any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Refunds

We do not provide refunds merely because you change your mind after purchase, do not use the access, are dissatisfied with a model output or result, or because a pick, projection, player, team, or bet does not perform as expected.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified. Where the Australian Consumer Law entitles you to a remedy, you remain entitled to that remedy.

For clarity, the following circumstances, by themselves, do not mean that the service has failed and do not automatically entitle you to a refund:

  • changing your mind after purchase
  • a lineup projection changing or turning out to be incorrect, including a player being named in one position and playing in another, a positional reshuffle, a late team change, a player being ruled out or rested, or another difference between a projected and actual lineup
  • a pick not scoring, a player not scoring, or a bet losing
  • dissatisfaction with a model output, probability, rating, ranking, projection, pick, or the result of a round
  • bookmaker prices, markets, or availability changing or differing from information previously displayed
  • failing to use your access before the applicable access period ends

If you believe something has genuinely gone wrong with a purchase or with the delivery of purchased access — for example, you were charged but the Round Pass was not granted — contact us at support@matchupengine.com and we will investigate the issue and provide any remedy required by law.

7A. Optional support payments

You may choose to make a one-off payment to support Matchup Engine's infrastructure and development. Support is voluntary, is not a subscription, does not recur automatically, and provides no additional access, entitlement, picks, ranking benefit, advice, or guaranteed outcome.

A support payment is not a charitable donation or tax-deductible gift. The selected amount is displayed and charged in Australian dollars (AUD). Payments are processed by Stripe; by confirming payment, you authorise Stripe to charge your selected payment method for the displayed amount. We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details.

If a support payment is duplicated, unauthorised, or processed incorrectly, contact support@matchupengine.com. Nothing in this section excludes, restricts, or modifies a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Odds and market prices

Where market odds or bookmaker prices are displayed, they are shown for comparison and informational purposes only. Prices may be sourced or displayed at different times, including at publication, refresh, page view, or save time, and may change at any time.

Displayed odds are not guaranteed to be current, accurate, executable, available to you, or combinable in the way shown by the product. The bookmaker, not Matchup Engine, controls its markets, prices, account rules, customer eligibility, limits, and settlement.

9. Bookmaker links and third-party wagering operators

Matchup Engine may provide outbound links to bookmaker websites so users can check the latest market directly. When you follow a bookmaker link, you leave Matchup Engine and interact with the bookmaker under that operator's own terms, rules, and privacy policy.

We aim to link only to Australian-licensed wagering operators where bookmaker links are active, but you are responsible for checking whether any wagering operator is legal and suitable for your location and circumstances.

Bookmaker names, logos, prices, and links are used for identification and market comparison purposes. Their display does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation unless we expressly state otherwise. If a referral, affiliate, or other commercial arrangement applies and requires disclosure, we will disclose it where applicable.

10. No financial or gambling advice

Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, investment advice, gambling advice, or a recommendation to place a bet. All model outputs and content are estimates only. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information provided on this site.

11. Data, projections and model limitations

Model outputs are based on historical data, published statistics, available market prices, third-party information, and manual analysis. They may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Past performance of a player, team, matchup, or market does not guarantee future results.

Lineups, positions, and matchups shown on this site are projections. They may be built from third-party sources — including publicly announced team lists — combined with our own analysis and model processes, and reflect information available at the time of publication.

Rugby league lineups are inherently fluid and may change before or after our analysis is published. Clubs may name players in one position and use them in another, make late team changes, reshuffle positions before or during a match, rest players, or rule players out after team lists are announced. These kinds of changes are an inherent limitation of lineup-based sports analytics and may not be reflected immediately in published analysis.

By using this site you acknowledge that projections are exactly that — projections. A projection being wrong or changing, a player being named in one position and playing in another, a late withdrawal, or another difference between a projected lineup and what occurs on the field does not, by itself, mean that the service has failed or create an automatic entitlement to a refund. See section 7.

We make reasonable efforts to incorporate relevant known changes, but we cannot guarantee that every late update or team change will be reflected immediately in published picks, rankings, ratings, or game boards. You should independently verify current team information before acting on information presented on this site.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of model outputs or other information on this site, subject always to any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Responsible gambling

Gambling involves real financial risk and should never be treated as a guaranteed income source or recovery system. Please read our Responsible Gambling & Analytics Disclaimer.

12A. Matchup Challenge and public identity

Challenge rules, entry windows, scoring, and availability may be displayed within the product and may change between rounds. We may make technical corrections where picks, results, or rankings were recorded or calculated incorrectly.

If you choose a public leaderboard display name, you must have the right to use it and must not impersonate another person or use unlawful, misleading, abusive, or infringing material. We may hide or remove a display name that breaches these Terms.

13. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service or attempt to interfere with its normal operation. This includes attempting to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, data, paid content, or administrative functions; bypassing access controls or technical restrictions; using automated tools to scrape or systematically extract content or data; introducing malicious code; abusing APIs or rate limits; or interfering with the security, availability, or functionality of the service.

We may restrict or suspend access where we reasonably believe an account is being used in breach of these terms or in a way that threatens the security or operation of the service.

14. Intellectual property

Except for third-party names, trademarks, data, and other materials belonging to or licensed from their respective owners, the Matchup Engine product and its original content — including its branding, interface design, original graphics and artwork, written analysis, rankings, ratings, model outputs, and other original materials — are owned by or licensed to Matchup Engine.

You may not reproduce, distribute, scrape, republish, or commercially exploit any Matchup Engine content without written permission.

15. Third-party services and non-affiliation

Matchup Engine is an independent analytics product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially associated with the National Rugby League (NRL), the Australian Rugby League Commission, any NRL club, or any player.

References to competitions, teams, players, and matches are used to identify the subject matter of our independent commentary, statistical analysis, and analytics. Matchup Engine may also use original, unofficial artwork and visual representations to distinguish teams and matchups within the product. Such artwork does not represent official league or club branding, and no sponsorship, endorsement, licence, or official association is claimed or implied.

Third-party names and trademarks remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.

Authentication and data storage use Supabase, and payments are processed by Stripe. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

We do not guarantee that the service will be continuously available or free from temporary interruptions, technical errors, maintenance periods, or outages affecting third-party infrastructure. Where a service interruption materially affects purchased access, any rights or remedies available under applicable law remain unaffected.

Third-party bookmaker names and marks remain subject to the rights of their respective owners. Any commercial relationship will be disclosed where applicable.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matchup Engine and its operators are not liable for losses arising from reliance on model outputs, projections, rankings, ratings, picks, generated combos, displayed market information, or other analytics content provided through the service.

Matchup Engine provides analytics and information only. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on or informed by content available through the service, including any independent decision to participate in wagering activity. Sports outcomes, player performance, team selections, lineups, market prices, bookmaker availability, and wagering results are uncertain and outside Matchup Engine's control.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

17. Changes to the service and these terms

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time.

Where you have purchased a Round Pass, we will not withdraw your access to that round before the end of the access period described in section 6, except as permitted by these terms — for example, in response to fraud or purchase-system abuse — or as required or permitted by law.

We may amend these terms from time to time. Where changes are material or require renewed acceptance, we may require you to accept the updated terms before continuing to access account-gated or paid parts of the service. The effective date and applicable version of these terms will be identified on the legal page or in our legal version records.

18. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, please contact us at support@matchupengine.com.
