What Matchup Engine is

Matchup Engine is an independent sports analytics product. We provide model-based matchup analysis, ratings, rankings and related information for the sporting competitions the product supports from time to time. Some features, such as probability estimates, matchup grades, market-price comparisons, market lines and generated cross-game combinations, are available only for particular competitions or parts of the product. Feature coverage differs by competition.

We are not a bookmaker, betting agency, or wagering service.

What this site does not do

Matchup Engine does not accept, transmit, or place bets, hold wagering funds, or execute wagering transactions. No transaction on this site constitutes a bet.

Content is analytics and entertainment only

All rankings, ratings, grades, probabilities, matchup scores, featured player selections, and market comparisons are model estimates. Displayed market prices and lines are reference information obtained from third parties. Generated combos are analytical combinations based on selected product settings. All of it is produced for informational and entertainment purposes only and is not gambling advice, financial advice, staking advice, a betting system, or a recommendation to place any bet.

No output from this site guarantees a correct prediction, a winning result, a profit, or any return on a wager.

Where bookmaker prices or market lines are shown, they are displayed for market comparison and reference purposes only. Prices and lines may change at any time.

Market information displayed by Matchup Engine may be sourced from Australian or overseas markets. Availability, legality and minimum wagering age vary by location. Matchup Engine does not accept or place bets and does not control any bookmaker's markets. More information about the third-party data we use is on the Data & Licences page.

Where Matchup Engine provides links to bookmakers, it aims to link only to licensed Australian wagering operators so users can check the latest market directly. Bookmaker links are not provided for every competition. When you open a bookmaker link, you leave Matchup Engine and the bookmaker controls the available markets, prices, account rules, and any wagering activity.

You can check whether a wagering operator appears on ACMA's register of licensed interactive gambling providers at acma.gov.au/check-if-gambling-operator-legal.

Some NFL player-prop lines reflect aggregated United States bookmaker markets. Matchup Engine does not link to those bookmakers.

If the law where you are located sets a higher minimum age for viewing wagering-related information, you must meet it. Statistics, ratings and matchup analysis that contain no market information do not become wagering services merely because other areas of the site do.
